The Kansas Hereford Association is all about the promotion of the Hereford breed and proving it's worth to the modern beef industry.  We do this through the active participation of our members in things like the Kansas Beef Expo, the Kansas State Fair, the Kansas Junior Field Day, and Cattlemen's Day at Kansas State University.

We also administer and manage the National Hereford Feedout, a comprehensive feedlot performance and carcass testing program that is open to anyone that has five head of steers to enter.  For a nominal fee, carcass and performance data is collected and returned to the producer along with a comparison of how their cattle performed against the whole group.  This is a valueable genetic tool and can be essential in helping to make breeding decisions as we show that Herefords  are valueable to the beef industry.

Our publications are circulated nationwide and help individual breeders promote their program and get the word about about Herefords.  The Headliner is published on a bi-monthly basis and the Directory once a year.  It only takes $50 to join the KHA and reap the benefits of advertising in our publications and at our website.  Your membership also helps us promote the Hereford breed and maintain our many programs.

To join the Kansas Hereford Women contact Jane Deewall (620-582-2669) or Denise Swenson (785-243-1609) and help the ladies help us.  For information about the Kansas Junior Hereford Assocaition, contact Danny & Amanda Davis (785-256-4010).

Look at the membership listings in this website.  Many have links to ranch websites that show you what our members have to offer in breeding programs, ranch tours and sale information.
